      Jun 18 @ 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm

We have all experienced it – just blink and our children are graduating
high school. It unfortunately works the other way too: just blink and our
parents are in their 80’s and suffering from memory loss and frailty. It’s so
crucial to prepare for the challenges and transitions associated with aging
and if you find yourself in a similar circumstance, then you really have to
have the conversation with your parents. We will discuss some tips and
topics that will make this necessary conversation go as
      smooth as possible!

CDPAP Program @ Tully Law P.C.
      Jun 25 @ 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm

New York’s Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program (“CDPAP”) is a program that allows Medicaid recipients to choose the caregiver they work with. Bayshore Home Healthcare, Inc. is a highly experienced fiscal intermediary (FI), which is a company that provides the services necessary to facilitate the employment of a Personal Care Assistant. The program promotes consumer independence and enables self-directed consumers and/or advocates to recruit, interview, hire, train, schedule, supervise and dismiss Personal Assistant(s) of their choice.

To participate in the Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program, the consumer must be:

      •  Eligible for Medicaid. Our Home Care Network Partners are able to assist with this process.
      •  Self-directing or have an advocate willing to make decisions about services being provided.
      •  Eligible for long-term home care, certified home health agency services, AIDS home care or personal care services.
