Mathew V. Ferdon joined Tully Law, PC in December 2014 as an Associate. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Ferdon was an Associate Attorney at a boutique law firm in Bayside, Queens, where he specialized in elder Law, estate planning, asset protection, trust and estate administration and estate tax planning.
Mr. Ferdon received his Juris Doctor from Hofstra Law School, where he served as an Articles Editor for the Journal of International Business and Law and Vice President of the Hofstra Business Law Society. As an undergraduate, Matthew received a dual degree in Political Science and History from the University at Albany. Before attending law school, he in worked in state politics, serving as a Legislative Aide for a local New York State Assemblyman.
Matthew is admitted to practice law in New York State and is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Nassau County Bar Association and Suffolk County Bar Association. He serves as a member of the Elder Law and Estate Planning, Surrogate’s Court and Real Property Committees.
At the firm, Mr. Ferdon counsels clients on elder law, estate planning, probate, trust administration and transactional real estate. During the estate planning process, he concentrates on developing asset protection strategies and protection of Medicaid benefits for adults and their families. When a loved one passes away, Matthew provides legal advice and guidance to executors and trustees to ensure the timely administration and distribution of estate assets and protection from fiduciary liability.
