She earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from SUNY Oswego and a Master of Science Degree in School Counseling from Long Island University. She gained experience in healthcare, first as a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor for Apple, Inc/Phoenix House and then at the Social Work Department for Winthrop University Hospital. It was there that she assisted patients with nursing home and short-term rehab placement and began learning about the Medicaid application process. She now has over 20 years of experience with complex community and chronic care Medicaid applications.
In her free time, Lisa earned her Certificate as a Master Gardener and enjoys vegetable and flower gardening, baking, hiking and spending time with friends and family.
