Thank You to Our Veterans

Within the hustle and bustle of the fall season, lies not only Halloween and Thanksgiving but also the well-deserved national holiday of Veteran’s Day.   Simply put, it is a day to pause and reflect on the Veteran’s we have lost and those that are still with us but are burdened with the effects of war.  It’s also a time to be grateful for all of the courage and honor exemplified by the men and women of our Armed Forces.  I am grateful for the Veterans in my life including my father for his service in Viet Nam, my father-in-law who didn’t serve in this country but did serve alongside US Forces and my brother-in-law who served in the USMC.  So, please consider taking a moment to say “Thank You” to a Veteran not only today but whenever you have the chance to meet a true Hero.

As I heard earlier today during the Vice President’s speech at Arlington National Cemetery, you are not only the heart and soul of this country but the very spine of this country so we thank you!

Please take a moment to listen to my daughter, Daniella, pay tribute to the Veterans of the Town of Huntington earlier this year: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1TFgkR5eGGo
