Assisted Living Facility Launches Workshop for Its Residents on May 30
Melville, NY — Brian Andrew Tully, Esq. of the
firm Tully Law, P.C. has announced that Atria Hertlin Place has been named as an official testing site for MyElderScore.com. The assisted living facility will host the launch of the MyElderScore workshop for its residents on May 30 starting at 10 a.m., with a general discussion and a question-and-answer session at noon. Atria Hertlin Place is located at 675 Portion Road in Lake Ronkonkoma.
Mr. Tully, a certified elder law attorney and the creator of MyElderScore, will be joined by Suzanne Paolucci, Elder Law Coordinator, Tully Law, P.C. and Atria Hertlin Place staff in assisting residents in completing and reviewing their own personal ElderScore to see how prepared they are for the transitions associated with aging.
MyElderScore.com is an Elder Care Self Management System® that provides senior citizens and their caregivers objective information on how they can prepare for the transitions associated with aging. The website focuses on five major areas of aging: Health, Wellness, Financial, Legal and Spiritual (optional). Once the questions have been answered, the respondent’s ElderScore results can be emailed or printed out and can be compared to other seniors in their own state and nationally. The score will determine how prepared they are and which aspects of aging they need to improve upon. Seniors should then address the issues raised and update their answers in order to improve their ElderScore.
In addition to providing scores, MyElderScore also provides monthly tips and news items to help keep seniors and their caregivers informed and help them on their journey.
“The goal of this workshop is see how we can best meet the needs of these residents,” Mr. Tully said. “Each resident will have an opportunity to meet individually with myself, Ms. Paolucci and the Residential Specialist at Atria to review and to see how we can help them improve in areas in which they may not have scored well. Atria Hertlin Place is a perfect venue to launch this workshop, as they are committed to creating an environment of helping seniors age in place through their forward thinking and affiliations with health care providers in the area.”
