Susan Capurso is an End-of-Life Doula, Legacy Specialist, Consultant and serves as a Funeral Celebrant. She is the founder of East End Doula Care LLC in Suffolk County, New York. Susan also works with Tully Law Group in Melville & Riverhead NY providing Doula and Legacy Services.
As a doula, she supports and guides an individual and their family holistically, emotionally, practically, and spiritually in their End-of-Life journey, while specializing in leaving their stories and memories for generations to come through creative legacy work. She works with both end-of-life individuals, their families, and healthy individuals with various legacy projects.
Susan serves on the Patient and Family Advocacy Council and the In-Patient Experience Committee for Stony Brook University Hospital. Susan serves as an Adjunct Professor teaching workshops on the three stages of end-of-life and Creative Legacy. Susan educates National Organizations about End-of-Life, for Social Workers and Case Managers to attain CE Credits.
Susan is on the board of Pulse – Patient Safety, Education and Advocacy. Susan is on the board of the National Aging in Place Council for both the Nassau and Suffolk County chapters. Susan gives back to Long Island communities through workshop presentations and educational symposiums including Pinelawn Memorial Cemetery in Farmingdale on Long Island. Susan volunteers for East End Hospice located in Westhampton, NY and Certified in Bereavement as well as Life Coach services.
Susan hosts a weekly YouTube Channel called: End of Life Journey and Beyond: The Sands of Time. Through these weekly videos, she offers a plethora of valuable education and information for people to learn about the end of life, before, during and after a loss. Susan offers virtual support to individuals before losing a loved one, and after.
Susan offers immediate and personalized Funeral Celebrant services for families who’ve lost their loved one. Susan is widely known for her unique and one of kind Legacy Book, a four-week project to create a rich and intimate memoir for your generations to come.
